Meet your instructor, Andy Reith.

As the head of Origin USA's footwear division, Andy is responsible for all aspects of a rapidly growing manufacturing operation. Applying decades of experience in manufacturing he has applied operational excellence principles to allow the group to triple revenue and capacity in just 18 months.

Prior to joining Origin USA, Andy worked for Toyota Motor North America in the group's Production Engineering group. After completing an intense training curriculum that would prepare him to manage people and projects in Toyota's high-stakes, fast-paced environment, he spent more than a decade managing multi-million dollar projects across facilities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This diverse experience allows him to relate quickly to a variety of problems and develop rapid solutions in any operating environment.

"Your course is amazing so far. It’s always been a dream to receive training from a Toyota alumni. Your training brings the joy of Paul Akers with a bit more refined structure that I enjoy from the military. The excitement and motivation your training is restoring for me is profound. I have been struggling at work seeing the waste but not being able to articulate it in a way to where my manager sees the need to eliminate it." - Jake S., Solar Panel Technician

"I really like how many of the elements were tied together to form a solid overview of the material. Students will leave this course with a good understanding of the concepts of lean manufacturing and where the concepts came from. The 5S numbers exercise is one of the best I have experienced." - Michael T., Toyota Veteran

"This course took something complex and conveyed the topics in plain, practical terms. This allowed us to begin implementing lean initiatives immediately." - Daniel F., President NPAS
